06/18/2021  Original Character Guidelines Please read, sign, and be sure you understand these guidelines before sending an audition for an original character. This blog may be updated as we realize the need to further layout stuff we will or will not allow. We try to understand the character is your own creation, but we do not want a million infected/bonded types running around. For now, only infected/bonded/hybrid type characters are canon ones approved by the staff or staff created ones.  1) No infection or powers of any kind will be allowed in non-staff original characters. 2) We need scavengers who can fight, medics, farmers, mechanics, architects, tech experts, fight trainers, weapons masters, etc. Not everyone needs to be able to go out and fight or only be a fighter. 3) All staff created original characters belong to the writer behind Jill Valentine. Originals created by a writer that get approved to join will still belong to that writer. 4) All original characters must have a bio detailing who they were and are. The bio does not have to be fully done at the time of applying but we need the basics so we can decide if the character is okay or not.  5) Your bio and pages need to be done within 48 hours of being accepted. If you need a little more time to finish the bio just let us know. We are understanding and will work with you as long as you talk to us.  6) If you change your story or character it needs to be within the rules. If you make changes and it goes against the guidelines you will be given 1 warning and 24 hours to fix the change. If you do not fix it then at that point you will be removed from the group until you can follow the rules. 7) This should go without saying but just in case… You must also read, sign, and adhere to the standard group rules as well. 8) We are NOT allowing crossovers of any kind at this time. 01/15/2021  Overall Guidelines READ AND SIGN CHECK BACK WEEKLY, AS THESE RULES MAY SHIFT AND CHANGE AT WILL. - Contagious is an 18+ zombie ( and eventually multi-fandom) group. We accept the following verses right now as of 6/13/2021. - Resident Evil APPLYING  As of right now, we are accepting canon and original characters. When you apply, you must have a past or current writing sample AS that character. We will be allowing original characters that adhere to our guidelines and fit with what we are looking for ACTIVITY One bulletin story a month is all we ask but more is of course very much welcome! We also of course ask you be writing as much as possible with others, either publicly be it bulletins or status or in private. Easy, right? Please let us know if you need a semi-hiatus, or if real life things get in the way. Real life always comes first, and we're happy to help should you need time off or need to add a schedule for work, school, etc. WRITING Proper grammar and spelling please. If we can't read it--we can't reply to it. Typos are fine sometimes, and if English isn't your first language, we're always here to help! POSTING Don't harass members to post, this is a big no-no. People will reply when they can. No God-modding. This means you only play YOUR character. No one else's. DISCORD We do have a Discord server, feel free to discuss in there or generally talk and have fun! We do require most writing to be on site so that we can share it and everyone can enjoy it if it is public. We do not expect private stories written with another to be shared if you do not want it to be. No venting OOC about people/triggering topics or drama is allowed. We have a one strike you're out policy. If something is bothering you, please see a staff member. We care, don't worry! You're not being swept under the rug. MEMBER COUNT -We're going to try to max out at thirty members, but if we get bigger we will change things accordingly or if needed.
