BDB Absolute Rules
Recruitment:
We recruit members for the available roles within the
series. Unfortunately we are not seeking original characters at this time as
there are tons of pre-stated roles to fill. To qualify for BDB you would need
to be able to write Para (one paragraph of four lines), multi para (minimum two
paragraphs of four lines) and maximum novella. However we do not force novella
style upon our members. We do not follow the books and only use them as a
guideline. So you are free to portray your character as you wish. The only
fixed aspects of the cannon roles are the mates, titles, positions in the
family and names. Once you choose a face claim, that specific face claim will
be reserved/allocated for YOUR character alone. In this way we stop the
possibility of mirrors in the group.
BDB is NOT a ‘hook up’ group OR a ‘meat market’. All characters will be presented with class
and self-respect at all times. It doesn’t cost you a dime or an ounce of energy
to be decent.
Activity:
We are aware of everyone having a life and being busy or
driving other accounts. Yet … Try to be on more or less once a week. Post a new
solo once a week. If you are not able too – let the admins know. Interaction
and addition between members is compulsory. The secret to the success of any
group is the activity of the members.
Inactivity:
If you have not logged into your group account within two
weeks, you will receive a message querying your silence. If you have not
responded by the third week, your character will be placed on HIATUS and then
eventually the role will be re-opened. This is not baring on members who send
us a message to let us know that you will be away for a while. Life happens and
time cannot be controlled along with everyone living scattered across the globe
in different time zones. We understand this. Though knowledge is always better
than assumption.
Social Outreach:
We will have a discord set up for the group (if the majority
seeks it). Respect yourself and other members at all times.
Brand:
All members are required to use “BDB Absolute as their last
name”.
Drama:
None of this will be tolerated outside storylines. One
warning – then you will be asked to leave. Respect the relationships within the
group. DO NOT try to cause trouble between two writers who are mated or have a
set connection. This is strictly forbidden.
Do not stir the shit pot!
We do not delegate whom may be added or written with,
however, if you harbour a friend/group on your list who is prone to antagonizing
behaviour or who is just flat out rude and disrespectful in causing drama? You
will be asked as a last resort, by Wrath (Sole Patriarch of BDB), to remove the
said person/group members.
Cyberbullying:
BDB will not allow any bullying toward any member in the
group. If you are reported to the admins by another member for bullying – you
will receive ONE warning to halt your advances. If to no avail, you will be
banned from BDB.
God Modding:
This one should be known but we feel the need to stress the
importance of this. No telling others how to play their characters or how to
write or deciding when or where their character will meet its demise WITHOUT
permission.
Disputes Among Members:
If an issue arises with another member in the group. Bring
it to the attention of the admins. No attacking status updates or comments are
allowed to be posted. If you are upset? Take a break, take a walk…do whatever
instead of writing something you may regret later or which will cause a bigger
problem within the group. If this does not succeed, the admins will sort the
issue out as diplomatically as possible. Under no circumstance is the rest of
the site to see that there is an issue.
Banning:
You may at the admins' discretion receive a warning. If you
continue to cause issues you will be banned without warning. If you are found
to be posting plagiarized content/writing or are taking part in any form of paedophilia or are antagonizing in any way you
will also be banned.
Affiliates:
BDB is affiliated to KOV = Kingdom Of Valefor, ONLY. BDB
will NOT be adding to their affiliates and are not allied to any other groups.
Admins:
No disrespecting of admins. They will respect you, so you
will respect them. There will be no leniency offered in this offense.
