Infinity War Starter Ever since joining the Avengers, Wanda Maximoff seemed to be in trouble. It wasn't her fault really, but that didn't stop her from blaming herseld for some of it. Brock Rumlow was insane. He was planning on blowing up himself and Steve Rogers. Not to mention everyone else that was in the vicinity. Wanda tried hard to stop him by using her powers to contain him and the blast and move him out of the way, but she was a little too late. The blast went off, destroying a building and killing innocents in the process. This incident caused the goverment to create the Sokovia Accords. Every super powered individual had to sign it and only operate when told to, or become an criminal. Naturally the Avengers were divided on this. You were either on Tony Stark's side, which was inline with the government or Steve Rogers' side which was more about freedom and being able to keep your identity a secret to protect the ones you cared about. Wanda was on Steve's side and along with a few others they had to fight there friends in order to prove the innocence of another. In doing so she was branded a criminal and arrested. Eventually Steve managed to break her and the others out of their prison but life wasn't the same. She was now constantly watched. And the world feared her still. She wasn't sure if things would ever get better, especially since the Avengers were still torn apart and spread across the planet. Back in her New York apartment, Wanda knew something bad was coming. Something celestial. Something that alone they wouldn't be able to defeat. The infinity stones were scattered but a determined individual would stop at nothing to gather them all and compete the Infinity Gauntlet and then become unstoppable. As she tried to locate her friends and teammates, the skies darkened. Looking out the window she saw the alien ship hover above the city. The threat was here. With no time to waste, Wanda ran out of her apartment and to the scene to protect the innocent as best she could, while hoping some help would arrive.
