Vengeance

Skyler jolted awake in her bed, her heart pounding inside of her chest. She wiped the cold sweat from her brow as her raven landed on the edge of her bed. "I'm coming." Skyler pushed her blankets back and slid from the bed, being careful not to wake her fiance. She felt the cool breath of death at the back of her neck. She took a deep breath as she slid on her silk robe and quietly made her way downstairs. The Raven silently followed her down as she went to the gardens. "Shadows suit you well, Leon." She said softly as she folded her arms across her chest, her face cold as she saw the blue eyed demon seem to melt from the darkness to stand before her. Once....Skyler thought him beautiful. But she knew beneath that beautiful face was a monster. One that destroyed her world. But perhaps what took her aback as she gazed at him, was the regret in his eyes.

"Its good to see you, Lady Death." He said formally as he went to one knee before her. Skyler kept her face expressionless as she watched him. "There are no words that could ease the pain....or my crimes against your kin. You owe me nothing yet I owe you everything.....Yet I would beg a favor of you." He said softly as his head bowed. Skyler's jaw clenched ever so slightly as she looked down at him. "Release me.....The blood of your kin once soaked my hands.....and now I would beg you to take the justice you deserve. Free me.....and claim the vengeance of your family." He begged her. Skyler felt her fangs sharpen against her gums. This man....this demon....had taken so much from them in her mortal life. Tortured her parents. Stole her mother's heart and gave it to a demon who had nearly killed them all. And now here he knelt....begging her to release him. To end his life. She knew as the Goddess of Death and War that she could end him. This was her duty. Her decision. She took in a deep breath.

She took a slow step towards him. Then another. Until her bare legs brushed his bowed head. She reached a hand down and trailed her fingers through his hair. He trembled beneath her touch. She paused. Contemplating her decision. She struck. Her grip on his hair yanking him to his feet as her other hand punched hard. Splintering ribs and tearing through sinew. He cried out as blood spat from his lips. She felt his heart beating in her palm as her fingers curled around it. Felt the tar like stickiness of his blood on her skin as her glowing silver eyes found his panicked blue ones. "This.....is what they felt...." She growled as she squeezed the throbbing muscle. "What I felt....when you ripped their hearts out infront of me. Knowing I would feel it. See it." She said as she squeezed it tighter, making him sob. She got nose to nose with him as she held him. "I should rip you apart.....one piece at a time. But....." She said before she spit in his face. "That'd give you relief. Freedom. And YOU don't deserve to be free." She said before she yanked his head back hard.

"You don't deserve mercy. Or kindness. Only agony. So I will show you the only thing you deserve..." She buried her fangs deep into his throat then. Drawing blood with greedy hunger as she fed on him. Drained him. Her hand tightened. Squeezing his heart until she felt it burst like a grape in her fist. His screams echoed before fading into silence. She drained every drop from his veins until his body went cold. She dropped his corpse as she stepped back. A smirk curved her lips as she saw him rise then.....a transparent soul hovering over his body. Her glowing silver eyes looked to him before she slashed her bloody claws along his form. His eyes widened as his mouth opened. But no sound came from him as he stared at her. Skyler smirked. "Only the brave deserve the peace of death. Of Heaven. But the Gates will forever be closed to you. I CURSE you....to wander this mortal world. Mute. Eternally hungry. Eternally thirsty. You will ache in unimaginable ways with no solace. No comfort. No peace. A powerless Shade. No one will hear your voice. No food nor drink will ever ease your thirst. No warmth will soothe you. You are nothing. And will forever remain as nothing." Skyler said as she waved a hand and watched his body turned to blackened ash at her feet.

Mr World

Skyler sat silently at her desk, going over the latest notes and reports. She found paperwork to be so tedious. But running a family empire took on more than just showing up to meetings. It took tedious work. Research. She looked up when a knock came to her door. Grateful for the reprieve, she looked up. "Yes?" She called curiously, looking to her clock. She didn't have any meetings at this late hour. The door opened and her secretary entered, looking sheepish and concerned. "Forgive me, Majesty but a gentleman is most insistent that he see you." The young woman said. There was a nervous tremble to her voice. Something the rather disciplined woman never held. Which concerned and intrigued Skyler. Skyler stood up then, smoothing the folds of her pencil skirt. "Show him in," Skyler said calmly.

Skyler was a lovely woman. Blond haired and violet eyed. Nicely curved with an air of class and sophistication especially in her pencil skirt, silk blouse and modest high heels. She was curious as to who this man as that he could rattle her secretary so. She moved around the desk as the man came in. He wore a fedora at first. A finely tailored suit with slicked back hair. But it was his eyes as he took off his hat that sent a chill down Skylers mind. "A beautiful evening to you, my Lady of Phantoms." He drawled out in a soft, dare she thought beguiling tone. Skyler knew all at once what this man was. "You know me, sir?" She asked calmly, though her eyes glowed like a wolfs caught in headlights. Something about this man seemed off. Wrong. Insane. And his smile as he held his hat and held a hand out to her politely.

"I am Mr.World....and I know you well. You were born Skyler Marie Belmont Helsing. Your mother is Luralena Belmont Helsing who died fighting in your name. Lucian Knight is your father who has been the runt of his fathers litter and now stands anew God. And you.....sweet lady lived a life of such betrayal and torment that you often thought to take your own life. You kiss the wolf you murdered as vengeance for taking your life. I know the face you make when you orgasm. That you enjoyed the darkness of death and long for its peace. And you daughter....." He drawled as he took her hand and brushed a kiss to her knuckles. Skyler stiffened, immediately taking on her ethereal goddess form. Her hair turning white as snow and her suit fading into her black armor and cloak. "She is beautiful as you and twice as talented. Hearing spirits and damned souls. You secretly fear she will suffer like you did and know your agony of the legacy your mother left you with." He said before he straightened.

Skylers jaw tensed as she looked up at him. "What do you want?" She asked sharply as her hand went to her blade as she bared her fangs. This man knew the impossible! He was no man. But clearly a threat. He held his hands up innocently. "I intend no harm. I merely came to welcome you to the world of the New Gods. As a New God, you must know of the war coming between ourselves and the Old Ones." He said. Skyler lifted her chin a bit. "I've heard the rumors. But I seek no more wars. I am merely one who escorts the souls on. I have no desire to get involved in some Godly pissing contest." Skyler said as she folded her arms across her chest. World smiled widely and Skyler felt her stomach twist. "I understand. If I had children, I would want them safe above all else. I merely want to offer you safe haven with us. Protection. Guaranteed security and worship." He implored. Skyler shook her head.

"I have fought enough wars in my mortal life to know that this one won't get anywhere or accomplish anything useful. Thank you and I'll consider your offer if I ever change my mind. Now get the fuck out of my office." She said sternly as she narrowed her eyes at him. World bowed his head. "Of course, my Lady. But before I go, you should know...the Old Gods have leverage over your mother that they would use against her. Odin is a man only out for himself. I.....would never stoop to such lowly tricks to gain loyalty." He said before he bowed at the waist and walked out. Skyler stood frozen in her office as she turned over the words he had spoken. Who the fuck was this guy?

Betrayal's Sorrow

The large white direwolf padded through the swamp, listening to the music only she could hear. Following the sounds of death as it rattled its final breath. She followed it, tracked it. The smell of blood in the air was thick...humid. Heavy. Copper mixed with a heady dose of fear and violence. The young man had been torn apart. Limbs scattered about from the gators, who feasted on him. She could smell the story here. See it in her minds eye. Several men had dragged him here. Beaten and bound. He had been branded a Traitor but she could not smell it on him. No. This young man had been set up. Framed. And for it? His death had been torturous. Agonizing as his body was left staked out in the swamp with ropes and railroad spikes. Then the gators came....innocent creatures, merely following the smell of blood and food. They had been deaf to his cries as they devoured him. It was not their fault.

She approached what remained of his chest, shifting as she went from wolf to woman. She could see the blood bubbling between his lips, as those faint wheezes grew quicker. She knelt down beside him, her eyes sad as she looked down and ran a hand along his cheek. "Ssshhh......I'm sorry, my sweet. I'm worry this world was so cruel to you. I'm sorry your death was monstrous. But know....I will ensure your soul finds peace. No more pain. Not more malice. There will be warmth and love to await you." She said softly, tenderly as she dipped her head down and brushed her lips against his blood stained ones. She took a deep breath as his lips parted. His lungs fell silent then as a soft light radiated from his lips and traveled from his body into her own. Skyler breathed his light, his soul into her. Letting it past through her using the gate way within her body. Sending him on to the next world. To Heaven. Or Valhalla. Wherever he believed his soul would go if he lived a good life. And this man, had lived a good life. She tasted that on his lips, in his blood, in his soul. Like sweetened honey on her tongue.

She rose to her feet then, tears trickling down her face. For there seemed no end to the cruelty of men. Brushing her tears from her cheeks, she began taking the path back home. She let the sadness and sorrow of the man's soul move through her. He had a family who had loved him. Devoted his life to the men who betrayed him. And it broke his heart, as well as her own. She wept silently until she got to the house. Her Raven awaited her, with a bowl of warm water for her to clean her feet from the mud before she entered the finely tiled floor. She sat by the fountain as she washed her feet of the blood and mud from her. Washed away the sorrow of the soul and its emotions. Purging it from her to let those final pieces of his soul free into the ether. She sat back then, letting out a sigh as she leaned back in her seat. Times might change. She might change. But nothing would ever turn her heart to stone when it came to facing the cruelties of men.

Puppy Love

A kiss. A single kiss had set fire to her blood. For so many years, her skin had been cold as a corpse. Her heart so still and lifeless, even she wondered if she truly were among the living world at all, or if this was Hell. Food held no flavor. Liquor, no buzz or flutter of stimulation. Hours laying in tubs of boiling hot water left her with nothing. Attempts by well trained consorts did not even give a quiver of a pleasurable sigh. She was numb. Numb to the sun on her face or the breeze in her hair. Absent purpose. Oh, she knew she felt things. Deeply. Anger. Hatred. Sorrow. But it was like a barrier was between her and them. A brick wall even she could not tear down with all her spells and magic.

And then a kiss happened. A kiss that set fire through her lips. A caress along her cheek, had sent warmth along her skin, traveling slowly. Like the way heat from a fireplace spread and slowly warmed the room. Then his strong hands had torn open her corset. And that fire spread again. It was almost painful, as the heat of his touch warmed her to her very bones. She took in his kiss as if starved for it as nerve endings began to spark and flicker with life. Drinking in his tender heat and devouring it life fire devoured kindling. As if electricity passed from his body to her own. Every place her caressed rushed with heat until she did not think she could take it anymore.

And then his exquisite torture only grew more intense. His determination to flood her senses with life and warmth his sole focus. He made her cry out with the first pleasure she ever truly felt in her existence. The muted colors of the world flared to life in glorious technicolor. The sensations of touch and smell flooded to overwhelming capacity. And then she felt it.

Thump.

Thump..

Thump...

That single, solitary sound came with her orgasm. The rush of pleasure leaving her breathless as she screamed it to the Heavens. She was ALIVE! Weeks, months of wandering, going through the motions of existing but not really finding her place in it. At last, she felt the air in her lungs. Tasted him on her tongue, lime ambrosia. Smelt the night air. The warmth of blood rushing in her veins.

And she had this sweet Puppy to thank for it. This sweet CJ La Mara who restored what had been missing since her awakening. While perhaps not soulmates, she knew then that she was bound to this man. And he to her. Her was the only one successful in restoring life to dying flesh.

Call it love. Call it lust. Call it madness. Ir a Blessing. Either way.....

The Phantom Queen would never let this sweet soul go unloved or unwanted. She would claim him as her own Mana....her life force. Her Priest. Her Knight.

He was hers. And she was his.

Vengeance

The swamp water was thick and murky. Muddy. His fangs in her throat was tight as the wolf tried to drown her. Her Mate. Her own Anchor. He murdered her. And now....he was trying to do it again. She had gone to the Bayou to confront him and his Alpha. To challenge her. This was her family's territory. New Orleans had always belonged to them. And this Walker bitch had thought she could get away with claiming it for herself with deception. With sending in a traitor under the guise of a beautiful face to seduce Skyler. To claim her as Mate so that he would murder her and his Alpha could claim the territory. It almost had been a success. But they underestimated the loyalty of Skyler's family allies. The attempt to murder her had gone wasted. And the very pack that tried to overthrow them, had been outcast to the winds.

And when Skyler had gone to confront them, to put an end to it all, they attacked. The odds would have been overwhelming for her in life. But not this one. Now she was a Goddess. And her rage was endless. She saved him for last, so he knew she was coming.

"I trusted you! I LOVED you! You were everything! But you.....destroyed us. For what? For greed? Power?" She shouted at him. They had fought there in the Bayou. He took his Wolf form thinking to overpower her. He had won at least as his jaws found her throat and slammed her into the water. Skyler's emotions for him had been her weakness. The breaking point for her advantage. But he had not thought of the Gators in the bayou. Alerted by the smell of her blood and the thrashing in the water. Skyler gasped loudly as she broke the surface as the wolf was torn from her. His jaws had taken her throat open but she didn't care. It wouldn't kill her. She gasped as she drew air into her lungs and climbed up the wooden beam of the rickety old dock. She was covered head to toe in muck and sludge from the swamp as she caught her breath. Her Raven bellowed loudly as she collapsed there, struggling to breathe as her throat healed. The sounds and howls of the large wolf echoed in the bayou as the gators snarled and thrashed him under the water. Tearing him apart.

Vengeance had been Skyler's. And all it cost was her heart as she stared up at the sky overhead, the tears on her face mingling with the sludge on her face....

Merciful Death

The Raven trilled as it flew down and perched on the Goddess' thin shoulder. Skylers eyes were wide as she stood on the battlefield. She had seen things in the bits and pieces she did remember of her human life. But this....was nothing. She could smell the blood for miles. Felt the damp warmth of it beneath her bare feet. 'This....is what you are now. Your duty....to bless the souls so they can move on,' the Raven advised her. She frowned a bit as she looked at the battlefield. The large expanse of blood, singed ground from grenades and fire. The burn of sulphur and chemicals. She swallowed hard. "I.....am the Angel Of Death?" She asked as she looked to the bird. It clawed and tilted it's dark slick head. "GODDESS of death, but they are much alike,......Let instinct guide you to them,' the bird wisely answered before he flew away.

Skyler swallowed past the lump in her throat before she closed her eyes. Steeling herself and opening her senses. It was so silent here. So quiet and still. She slowly began to walk forward as she opened her eyes. She could see the faint glows from the aura of the souls left behind. Like a dull and fading rainbow of color. Her black dress brushed the soiled ground as she walked, her pale blond hair falling down her shoulders. She looked delicate. Fragile. Lost in the sea of death around her. As she walked, she felt her heart breaking. She would cry if she had enough access to her emotions to weep. But luckily, they swelled in her eyes but did not fall. These were brothers. Fathers. Sons. Children. All dead. And for what? Greed? Hubris? Supremacy?

She paused when she felt it. The small tug of something at her chest. As if it pulled at her gown for her attention. She turned towards it and followed. She paused when she came upon her. A young woman. No older than twenty. She would have been beautiful. Skyler knelt down by the woman and brushed the dirty blond hair from her face. Even with the swelling of her belly, she carried the markings of a soldier. Skyler could tell she had fought. Bravely to protect her home, despite the beasts that had torn her from her home and into the street. Skyler would never understand mortal cruelty. At her touch, Skyler felt the woman stir. 'My baby...please.....' Skyler heard the womans final words like an echoing chorus in her head. Skylers eyes drifted down to the swollen belly. She knew the life was lost. Like the mothers. But....she could feel the soul. "Find peace, sister....mother...." Skyler said as she bent down and brushed her lips over the woman's brow.

The touch was brief as Skyler began to glow with radiance. Drawing the soul from the body as she spoke the prayer over them. Skyler stood up then, smiling slightly as she held a hand down. The mother rose first, one hand taking Skylers as the other cradled the small blanketed bundle. The bundle let out a soft cry as the mother looked to Skyler with bewildered eyes. "Are you....an angel? Or a demon?" The woman asked as she took in Skylers beauty. Skyler smiled. "Neither....I am the Final Fate. I am Deaths kiss. And with my kiss.....I send you to the Afterlife with my Blessing." Skyler said as she brushed a hand over the small infant with a sad smile as the portal opened wide. The mother looked to the portal and then back to Skyler. Skyler held out her hand. "Be at peace." She said softly, as the mother walked to the portal and it closed as she past through. The Raven cried again as he settled back on Skylers shoulder. 'Well done....' It said as it nuzzled her ear and Skyler nodded slightly.

Open Role

Open Role: the Raven. A beast sacred to the Morrigan and her messenger. But this one comes with a twist.....This one carries the history of the past. The memories that Skyler is not strong enough to face. He holds them close to keep her safe and from slipping back into the abyss. A protector, a lover and a Guide, he both serves her and guides her as she grows into her new position as a Goddess. But unlike most who use soft words and tender expressions. he is blunt, irreverent and unfiltered.

Must be an active writer. No flaking. No drama. Not just a smut based role. Playby negotiable. PM Phantom Queen if interested.

Mourning

Skyler swallowed hard before she forced herself to walk into the cemetery. Her foot falls were silent as she took the stone path. She could make her way to it blindfolded, truth be told. Even after fifteen years, nothing had really changed about it. Aside from the new plants that had risen up to grab hold of the tall crypts and statues. The water table here was too high to allow an underground burial. So crypts and mausoleums were erected to entombed and honor the dead. She lightly put a hand on Marie Lavaeux's tomb in respect of the Voodoo Queen. She pulled her hand back as the red x appeared, marking it in honor of the mortal woman who some said remained immortal as Papa Legba's lover.

She forced herself to move forward then as she heard the gravelly call of the Raven, as it flew from above to perch upon her thin shoulder. Another few rows and then she stopped. The stone mausoleum was the largest one within the cemetery. More like the size of a small house than a grave. She stared at the iron gate that sealed it closed. Roses had grown around the metal, spackling the black iron with shades of purple and white petals. Her mother would have been pleased. She put a hand to the metal and the gate swung open for her. The magic placed here to ensure the dead were not disturbed welcomed her.

The raven let out a disgruntled sound before it flew up to sit on the gate and wait for her. She took a deep breath before she went inside, her heels making soft clicks on the marble flooring. The rows of crypts were stacked three long and four high here. Safely housing what would have been her entire family. Except for one spot.....Hers. The bits of stone and wood still scattered on the floor from where she had punched and clawed her way out of her resting place. The hole just large enough for her small body to crawl through. She swallowed back the tears at the memory of horror, waking up to find herself sealed away. She shook her head a bit as she moved past it....past the column containing her four uncles. Her grandparents.

She stopped by the last one, and her heart sank. The resting place of her parents was a beautiful one. She had not seen it before now. The stone sarcophagus, depicting a man and woman, laying side by side, his larger frame protectively curled along the woman's, his arm snug around her waist. Their faces were intricately carved, drawing a tear from Skylers eyes. Her parents had been strong people. The son of Ares and the only female child of both the Helsing bloodline and the Belmont witch coven. Greek letters mingled with aramaic scripture along the sides of the stone. Skyler waved a hand, the red candles springing to life and sending its warm flame aglow.

Skyler ran her hand along the carvings, reading the words there. Her parents had died several years after she had....in a war against the ones who had taken her life. Her parents died putting an end to that pack. They died as warriors. Just as they had been in life. She swallowed hard as she ran her hands along the carved faces of her parents. And for the first time, she felt grief hit her. Her first real emotion felt since her resurrection, and it was grief. Her tears ran as she laid her head against the stone and wept.
