Seven had attended a number of events at Asgard before and he was hopeful that some of his family would join him. Until then he recognised many of the faces here but for now quietly took himself to get a drink, enjoying the atmosphere.
Having slipped away from the Nanny who was tending to her little sisters once the girls were settled Herdis headed towards the party her parents already had underway. She could hear music pouring from the room and it made her smile despite her usual mood to never participate in things she didnt have hand in for fear of people paying her to much attention. But as she slipped into the room and looked around, avoiding where her parents sat her eyes scanned the people milling around, hoping to catch sight of a certain Avenger currently taking up residence in Asgard.
Amoras welcome to her good friend Olivia was warm and filled with laughter, something that continued as they welcomed more people. Revan speaking to Thor with her niece on his arm cause Amoras brow to wing up. She motioned someone with a serving tray closer watching the way Revan fidgeted with his tie. The man holding the tray offered them drinks as she mouthed to her niece with a little smile, "Behave," and she wondered if her daughter was around, now and again Herdis needing the same reminder.
When Demetrius came forward Amora smiled at Kira speaking to her nephew, "Your lady is well known to us and welcome anytime Demetrius. Give her a tour, enjoy yourselves, and should you wish to spend a few days here with us letting her see the sights snow will be moving in and the scenery will be lovely."
Demetrius had just left Asgard weeks before to go propose to Kira he was happy to be back with the woman he loved on his arm. He wanted to introduce her to his great-uncle Thor and Amora after speaking to a few others he spotted Thor near his throne he walked over "great party uncle Thor I wanted you to meet my soon to be wife Duchess Kira Orcus" he flashed a smile bowing his head giving Kira a little push towards him "I am hoping she will be able to meet others of Asgard and the kingdom" he kept one hand around Kira's waist as they all spoke briefly
Among a sea of strange faces, Candy recognized one from her own family. Her face glowed with a happy smile, "Revan!", she shouted across the room and hurried over to say Hi to him. She would tag along and watch his interactions with other ladies, hoping that he'd include her in, and introduce her to a few.
Revan let out a polite laugh fixing his tie and then whispered "I feel like a fucking jerk dressed like this". The beaming smile didn't leave his face. "So Thor, Nan has been telling me a little bit about Asgardian culture. It's all very fascinating". He looked around, keen to get a drink before the suit and tie look got too much for him.
Nan had just smoothed down her new dress when her eyes caught Revan with her Aunt and uncle and she smirked walking over towards him and her arm moved to hook in his. "Auntie great job as always. Uncle Thor." she leaned in to press a kiss to his cheek before she tugged on Revan's arm. "Well doesn't sir look all spiffy." she leaned in to Revan so she could whisper it.
Revan arrived wearing a slightly ill fitting suit. He wasn't really a suit and tie kind of guy but he wanted to look the part at least until people were drunk enough that they wouldn't notice. He brought with him a special type of Demon Wine. Whilst demons were usually his prey they did make dome ales that even the Asgardians would find worth their time. He approached Thor and Amora, handing them the bottle as well as a Christmas card. "Merry Christmas... Or whatever festival Asgardians celebrate" he said slightly unsure. "Anyway I thought I would come and be a part of your celebrations. I hope it goes well so far?"
Candy seldom wandered far from her home realm of Lemuria. Everything she needed or could want for, she often found at home. When she heard about a Christmas Party in the Yggdrasil Kingdom, she felt strangely compelled to go; not that she would know of anyone else there, probally not ... but it didn't matter. Something exciting boiled in her veins, something unknown. Something she had never experienced before. So, she went through her closet and put on her most stylish clothes, even added a little bit of makeup to her face. Although she was 21 years of age, Candy always exuberated joy with a childlike demeanor. Tonight she wanted to tone herself down to that of a mature and proper lady.
She took a bus to the edge of the bifrost bridge and showed the invitation flyer that she had found. Beaming a pretty smile at the gatekeeper, she introduced herself.
"Hi, I'm Candy Lust. I'm here for Christmas party. Will you please escort me in, thank you."
It had been so long since Olivia was all dressed up and out her and Matt being new parents hadn't had much time for parties but the Annual Yggdrasil Ball was something she didn't want to miss. Walking into the grande room her arm was intertwined with her mate Matt's "wow! this place looks so beautiful" she smiled to Matt looking around seeing Amora across the room "we must say hello first" her and Matt walked over She gave Amora a hug " it all looks so amazing Amora what a great job you did" some small talk was had but Olivia knew she had to get to others who were arriving "we'll talk later" she gave a nod heading towards some others she knew to introduce Matt ....
Amora had been nervous preparing the ball, like she did every single year, and still she worried that things wouldn't go to plan, that she would mess something up. She knew mostly he fears were unfounded, she could likely set the hall on fire and her husband would heap her with praise for her efforts. Still when he got the first glimpse of their home, decked in sparkles of silver and blue she beamed at his reaction. "Who knew id become so gifted at handling the duties of a queen?" Thor lead her to the daises where the throne sat and helped her off her feet which again brought a smile, this one teasing because for sheer form she wanted to argue her not needing to rest. But he perched alone the sweeping arm with her and so she bit back her natural inclination to give him hard time, instead sporting a wide smile to greet their guests.
When Amora asked for what colors they should do this year Thor just thought about blue and silver not really seeing anything in mind with it. So dressed in his asgard best he lead his wife in to the main hall where the ball was to be held and of course his wife always seemed to outdo herself on everything. Grinning he looked around the room and he chuckled. "Pretty sure you can turn anything into a gem my love. It's wonderful once again." he leaned down to press his lips against hers before he lead her to the throne to have her sit down. "No arguing you need to sit. Your almost due." he smiled and he sat on the edge of the throne chair waiting for the guests to arrive.
