Ryan Green was born March 10, 1995, along with his sister, Melanie, in Woodsboro, California. A year later, Woodsboro would become a town of horror, as two high school students murdered several people at a house party, hosted by one of the killers named Stu Macher. It all stemmed from the other killer, Billy Loomis, becoming distraught and out of sorts with reality at the fact of his parents getting a divorce because of his father's unfaithfulness to his mother, causing her to leave them. He knew the only reason to get even was to seek revenge, by killing his current girlfriend's mother, then torture and attack his girlfriend.
Ryan's teen years were wrought with terror, as there were several people who became "copycat" killers, causing more chaos in the already shaken town. At the age of 16, Ryan witnessed his friends get murdered by the elusive killer. This caused him to have PTSD, hallucinations, and nightmares so vivid, they felt like he was reliving the whole moment all over again. He would often wake up screaming and covered in sweat. Melanie was there by his side to help him through them. At the age of 19, they both discovered their parents' dead bodies in their bedroom, leaning them all alone now.
At the age of 27, they decided that it was time to get out of Woodsboro, and try to leave their past behind. They moved to New York City, where he opened his own bar called "The Green Room", a place of solace, where people could come in, take a load off, and grab a drink or two before going home. Melanie got a place of her own in the suburbs of New York. Everything was going smoothly. They were happy for once. But, that happiness was about to be short lived.
There had been rumors of another possible Ghostface roaming the streets of New York. Ryan didn't want to believe them, but when he started receiving phone calls, as well as texts, from the masked killer, he knew the rumors were true. After Melanie had been attacked, he decided to move in with her to make sure she was safe. He contacted their Aunt Gale and told her what was going on. She made sure their house was guarded, as well as installing security systems and cameras.
One night, while Ryan was working at the bar, it was closing time as he was wiping down some tables. He heard a noise in the backroom, turning around to see if anyone was there. He shrugged as he turned back to finish wiping the table. He then heard the noise again, as he walked over to behind the bar, punching in a code to a lockbox, which had a gun in it. He got it out and loaded it, but before he could stand up and aim it at whoever it was, he was knocked unconscious. When he came to, he found himself tied to a chair and gagged. He tried to free himself, but his eyes widened with fear as he saw Ghostface round the corner of the door. He taunted Ryan, marking him with several wounds. Melanie was back home and knew it was way past time for him to get home. Getting worried, she tried calling him, but got no answer. Going out and getting into her car, she drove over to the bar, calling out to Ryan. She heard him scream through the gag from the backroom. She ran up to him, trying to undo the rope. He saw Ghostface come behind her as he tried to warn her. Ghostface attacked her as she fell to the floor. Their Aunt Gale had been trying to get up with Melanie, but didn't get an answer. While driving over to their house, she noticed something going on at the bar. Stopping the car, she got her phone out and called 911. Police soon arrived as she, along with the cops, went inside, their guns drawn. When they saw Ghostface, they began shooting. Gale rolled her eyes and grabbed one of the guns and shot the killer in the head as he fell back onto the floor. She went over to Melanie, telling the police to call an ambulance for both of them, as she untied Ryan.
