Hello I am Kit. I am the most intelligent and beautiful cat that you will ever have to grace your presence. At first glance, I may seem just like an ordinary house cat...but looks can be deceiving. A female never tells her true age but I will admit that Queen Cleopatra and I were quite close many years ago. I am the daughter and last true blood descendant of the goddess Bast. I am a magical feline with infinite powers including the ability to take human form. I do prefer the form of Siamese, Himalayan, or Rag Doll cats because they are regal in my opinion...and that′s the only one that counts. However, I am a female and a cat, so there is no telling what feline form I may choose to take.
During the last several hundred years, I have been exploited by people in power and supernatural beings for my abilities. Since cats are no longer worshiped and their role has been downgraded to pet, I keep my abilities hidden and function as a "normal" cat. Felines are obviously the most superior of all creatures and I embrace my "cattiness".
It was during my wanderings,as a cat, that I came upon an old family friend, Anubis. I must admit that I was very surprised to see such a change in one who used to be so set in his ways. You see,in the old days Anubis was a dark and evil God. He hated humans and didn′t think they died fast enough. He utilised a demon that urged them to sell their souls, and by doing so, she became his sword. This was the Anubis that I remembered.
He approached me and explained that over time he began to understand and respect humans. He began to value knowledge not aggression. He took the surname Osiris because the humans falsely believed that was his father.
Now he wanted to protect the souls of those he had taken and ensure they were safe. He sought out the last remaining blood ancestor of the goddess Bastet, me. She had once tried to convince him of humanities importance. As an apology to Bast′s name, he looked for and found me. I was offered a chance to help and serve him in his endeavors. He performed a special ritual making me the guardian of the underworld. His shield.
Anubis granted me his sight. He can see through my eyes when I am in feline form. In return he grants me the ability to see the dead and understand them like only he can.
I am to many just a cat. A pet. In truth I am his most trusted aid and guardian.
