~duties of a true knight~
~she was tired of hiding from the fate that her father
bestowed upon her. she bore no fear once again as she ran from withervane
through the mysts of manattica. the portals were strong on nights like this.
she could feel the souls begging her not to try and flee from blacksoul once
again. but her mind was made. she could hear the broken branches crackling on
the ground, not only under her feet, but under those tracking her as well. her
shadows did her bidding. her form hidden. she knew that lord vah hollynn would
be upset with her. but through their talks within her dreams, he assured her
that she was well understood~
~other branches caught to her gown and ripped it in spots
exposing parts of her she dared not have exposed to anyone. she stopped mid run
and disrobed of the torn materials, her sleep seeming to be saved briefly as
she had a look around. the portal was close enough that if she made it in time,
she could chant the closing of it and be though it before it closed. Another
deep breath and she was startled by the form gaining momentum upon her. she
picked up her pace to avoid him and started the chant on the portal. once
through she turned abruptly to face the face of her fate and she bid him a wave
of true happiness but she knew his anger would terrorize her in her dreams
soon~
~she brushed herself free from dead leaves and what her
garments had attached themselves to and carefully decided on which way to
travel. Her head tilted slightly realizing she was not in manattica. through
the quiet road she could see others walking around and she hoped that she would
find a kind soul to help her attain proper clothing and not think unruly of
her. she was not the type of lady to present herself to looking so vulnerable
as she did at the moment~
~coming upon the more traveled roads there were many people a
‘bout. most seemed kind enough, asking if she was okay, if she was in need of
help. someone offered her his coat. but he had looked as if he needed more then
a gentle smile and a word of gratitude. so she denied his offer and walked on.
she came upon a small park and stole a brief breath as a bench now offered her
relief from her fleeing. she was calm and knew there should be someone who
would offer her true aid and want nothing much in return~
