This mostly cold and calculating individual is from the manga/anime series Vampire Hunter D. Being the half-breed child of a vampire father and human mother, he no doubt makes an ideal hunter of all things undead. D is renowned for his consummate fighting skill and unearthly grace, yet at the same time feared and despised for his mixed lineage: born of both races but belonging to neither. Upon certain occasions D can show a more humorous and also caring side of himself, but only for those who are truly deserving of such a rare honor, because more often than not this blood thirsty predator prefers causing untold amounts of violence and gore as well, but he'll never kill an innocent human being no matter what.
