Writing Contest: The Trickster's Demise
Category: Uncategorized

*For ages upon ages the life of the Great wolf had been nothing but continued captivity only to break free at a single moment and bring forth Ragnorak which he had done so many times. Never once forgetting what had happened, never once being able to change his destiny, The old wolf merely found himself wondering if it would ever change. From the very beginning one thing had always been the tipping point, his bastard father Loki. The mischievous trickster killing Baldur with a piece of mistletoe was just part of the great wolf's demise, and every time it happened another piece of Fenrir's heart blackened to it's core making revenge the sweetest of desires.

Hatred had become the fuel for the Great wolf, a hunger to rip the very soul from his father's being and watch him die realizing he had been betrayed, it was truly a glorious endeavor. The time had finally come and the reign of the Wolf king was on the horizon as Fenrir sensed destiny falling into place, his time was now. Screams and agony resonated throughout Asgard as the Old Wolf and his sons, Hati and Skoll slaughtered there way through the gods killing everyone that got in their way. Heindall, Odin, and Thor fell to the massive jaws of the great beast as so many others fell to the claws of his sons, a massacre of pure carnage and chaos, a specialty of the Vanagandr clan. In all of the confusion and mayhem one had escaped, the cause for all of this and the one he knew to be his greatest tormentor, Loki. Typical of the trickster god, he would never find himself in a situation that he would ever have to lift a fingers or stand up for something he believed in other than himself, no the Loki did what he always did and made himself disappear from his demise.

But as life goes on all good things tend to come to an end. It took a long time for Fenrir to find his prey, leaping through space and time hunting after the great illusionist. even his sister Hel sought to bring an end to Loki's life but found herself called away once again, oh how the souls of the underworld needed their torturing. Then came one cold cloudless night, perfect for a chilled stroll through the countryside, Loki had let down his guard and it was about to be his undoing. A wolf's howl rocked through the valley echoing like an eerie death chant for the great Lokl. Golden eyes glowed in the darkness of his home as Fenrir stepped from the shadows his two sons walking next to him in their beautiful wolf forms. They were Fenrir's balance next to his beautiful daughter that was not ready for such a thing although she deserved to be there, she was not ready for what was to come.*

"Hello father... It's been a very long time." *Fen's voice held a devious undertone of power and rage mixed with a collected and calm mood.* "How? What? I had nothing to do with what they have done to you, it was never my fault." *Loki's voice was a bit shaky as he knew his time had come. His eyes darted to the twin wolves growling at him and barring their fangs with deep set hunger.* "You could have saved me. But no! you chose your own path, your own glory father. But that is all gone and changed now, Asgard is under my command and I am ushering in a new era. Sadly you will not be around to see it." *As his words dripped from his lips the twin wolves leaped through the air catching the trickster and knocking him to the floor. Screams fell from the old god's mouth as their fangs ripped through his flesh tearing him down to the bone. His agony lasted for days as they fed upon their grandfather letting him heal a bit only to feast upon his flesh once again and finally all that remained was a picked clean skeleton of what used to be the Great Trickster.*
