Being in stasis for roughly 90 years had done a number of Evelyn. The world was vastly different than it had been in the 1920s. Everything from vehicles, clothing, even speech was different. And books. Though library's still existed, it seemed like people preferred to use hand held electronic devices to gather any information they wanted or needed. And this information could come from any part of the world. The people of today had access to so much yet seemed to only use the internet to argue with people over who wore what best. It was all overwhelming, but Evie was doing her best to assimilate into this new fast paced world.

She got a job as a curator for the local museum, specializing in Egyptian artifacts. Egypt was what she knew best. Not only becasue of all the research and fighting off ancient mummies she had done but because she was a reincarnated Egyptian princess. The ancient language and fighting were like second nature to her. And honestly she felt more at home in the pyramids than she did in this very modern and fast paced world.

After a long day at work, Evelyn came home to see her loving and handsome husband, Rick at the dining room table. His guns sprawled out. Before she could even ask, he explained. A mummy was here. Maybe Imhotep was back, or maybe this mummy was different. But either way it would be the same outcomes. The ten plagues of Egypt would fall upon the land with Death and destruction following. "A mummy? Well this is quite the concern. Does this one want to marry or kill me too?" It seemed like most the mummies they encountered had some obsession with her due to her past life as Princess Nefertiri.

"Though honestly it doesn't matter what this mummy wants. We need to find it and kill it before anyone gets harmed. Where did that magical talking box say the mummy was? I didn't see one at work. Unless it was a different museum. Sometimes the size of these cities makes locating something so hard. I miss the 1920s." She sighed softly. Seconds later sirens could be heard coming from outside their house. Walking outside, Evie saw some cops and firemen talking to the neighbors about locusts infesting their home. This was it. The beginning of the end.
