(About the Little Bighorn massacre of George Armstrong Custer and his soldiers on June 25, 1876, as well as what happened to the Native Americans after their great victory.) Surrounded and greatly outnumbered, Cut off from the rest of their unit, Two hundred plus men are slain, While the enemy screams in triumph, As dead soldiers are mutilated and scalped. Thus ending this violent clash of two cultures, Who were different yet equally determined, To succeed on this hot June day at any cost! Yet sudden victory on the battlefield, Surely meant eventually losing the war, As many are sent back to reservations, Or driven into Canada to suffer and starve. But on this infamous day of slaughter, All five companies were savagely butchered, As no remorse was shown to a hated enemy, Whose leader also meant his untimely demise!
