Suicidal Failure
Category: Blogging

(This is a true story. I actually tried to commit suicide when I was 17. The gun was really loaded but didn't go off for some reason, and so here I am today. It either jammed or was missing a bullet, even though I could have sworn that it had all six of them inside.)

Beset by seemingly unsolvable problems, lacking in the will to carry on with his life. Seeking a last resort of justifiable suicide, a depressed teen writes a note of tearful goodbyes. Acknowledging his failures into print for those who would read, he wishes himself dead even before finishing the farewell letter. Feeling emotions of total unworthiness and saddened despair, the young man slowly walks into his parent's room to fulfill an only wish. Reaching for a loaded revolver, crying as he cocks the pistol. Placing the gun to the forehead, he squeezes the trigger to end it all. Marveling with dismay as only an empty chamber is heard. Realization dawns on him, as the suicide attempt fails, that perhaps even his own tortured life is worth living. And so with renewed vigor he moves ahead with this wretched existence, to live out a depressed paranoid and miserable life each day. A deserved punishment to justify this suicidal failure.
