"All right. Now, let's be nice every one. We're here to be thankful. And, happy that Alan has come home. So, let's enjoy ourselves tonight. And, that's an order. Some one, pass the wine please." Monica giggled.
Emily giggled. "Yes, he has. But, if any one is stubborn around here, I think it might be, A. J. When he makes his mind up, that's it." She looked at Liesl. "Isn't that right, Liesl." Emily looked at her, and took some salad.
Michael smiled when Monica put him in charge while Jason was on paternity leave. "Thank you, Grandmother. I promise you and Jason." He looked at him. "That you will not have to worry. The company will be in goods hands with me the next few months." He heard what Alexis said and smiled. "Awe, I look forward to spending more time with you too, Alexis."
"I have been trying to tell you that, Jason. He can be so stubborn, some times." She giggled. She saw them bring in the food. "Oh, good. We're hungry."
Jason chuckled softly when he heard what Alexis said to Alan. He nodded his head. "It's true. We are all very happy that you're back, Dad." He smiled then looked at Monica as he listened to what she said about them moving in and being put on paternity leave. "I have no problem with Michael taking over until I come back. He's got a good head on his shoulders." He smiled at him then looked at Alexis. "Me too. Now, I can spend all my time with my family." He gave her a soft smile. "Thank you, Mom."
Alexis looked at Monica a bit surprised. "Oh, Monica. That's ... that's, so generous. I know how much the kids adore, you. Are you sure, you want the 5 of us here. Plus, our new dog. We should stay, at the gate house though. It would be, much better that way. Right, Jason.
I'm glad that Monica, is making you take a vacation. You, work way too hard." She smiled at them. "I, don't know what to say, Monica. Thank you. And, I get to spend, more time with Michael." She smiled at them again.
"Alexis. I've been thinking, that I would love for you, and Jason, to come and stay with us until the baby is born. And, Jason. I'm putting you on maternity leave, and Michael will take over for you, until you come back to work. I don't feel right with you alone in the house with Alice, and kids. And, I'm not taking no for an answer. We have a house full of doctors, and plenty of room. And, the kids adore it here. So, the matter is settled." Monica smiled at them.
Alan smiled at Alexis. "Hi, Alexis. So nice to see you again. I also hear that congratulations are in order. I came back a few days ago. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere again." He sat down next to Monica.
Alexis looked up, and sighed, when she saw Liesl there. She then smiled, when she saw, A. J. "Alan, when did you get back. Emily." She looked at, Jason.
