A light in the darkness...
Category: Uncategorized

Asher was at a underground club the music far to loud and it wasn't his taste to start with. He went there with his sister Danica she was on some hunt with Jericho and he was sitting at a table staring into a cup of brandy. He stood up buttoning his suit and weaved in and out of people on the dance floor and he left the club having to take the lift up towards the streets. The night air was crisp and it had freshly rained. No moon shined in the sky nor any stars where visible. Lighting would streak across the sky every so often.

As he walked he noticed some of his kind bringing in snacks of the flesh kind. As he got further and further awake from the club he ran into less people. He didn't have a set location to go just wanted to be away from the night life scene. He was kicking a rock on the side walk when a scent hit him like a ton of bricks. His head snapped up and his fangs bared his eyes searching for the scent.

He walked towards the scent and he could hear a woman arguing "You can't just kick me out.... I live here too..... I have no place to go and you know that." the woman's voice spoke sounding as if she was crying and she reeked of fear. He found himself behind her as she pounded on the door a suitcase beside her with a book bag. She smelled mouthwatering her scent had every nerve in his body on alert. When the girl moved to turn around he moved behind her so she couldn't see him. His lips pulled into a smile. This would be easy pray

Asher could tell the girl was struggling with her bags so when she waited by a street light he watched her for a few minutes before he moved behind her his hand coming around her mouth to silence any scream and he tilted her head to the side as he pulled her from the light and his lips moved to her neck as his fangs dug into her flesh. He drank deeply from her and he even let her fall to his feet. He could see she was minutes from passing but his eyes caught hers and for the first time he felt like he did something wrong. He moved to lean down and he bit into his own wrist to bring his blood to her lips. "Drink little pet." he told her in a whisper. When his wound healed he moved to hoist her up over his shoulder grabbing her bags.

Once in his house he settled her on the bed and he set her bags down. He stayed beside her as her body was officially dying he knew this part was painful and his hand pressed to her forehead or held her hand the entire time. He wanted her to live and this was the first time he ever changed someone. It was always Danica looking to build her empire but for some reason this girl had pulled at his heart something he though had stopped beating once he was changed.

When she stopped struggling he listened to her heart get slower and slower until it no longer beat and he watched her sit up in a flurry his hand still in hers and he moved to brush back hair from her face. "How do you feel my pet?" he asked her with a smile.

There was no way in hell this was happening. But she could hardly deny the fact she came home to be faced with a stone wall of a man sporting her packed bags. And he was very unapologetic about wanting her out. When reason didnt work she cried, because that was a default setting. And after that there was the defiance before the acceptance. Still she banged on the door, kicking it hard with the toe of her boot before really relenting that this would do her no good and she had to figure something out.

She turned to look out at the dark street and then back at her bags. One she slung over her shoulder and the other she hefted up into her hand, the thing much heavier then she expected. She thought about kicking the door again before she started to walk. She had no plan but sitting there wouldnt formulate one for her. She mopped at her eyes with her free hand and stood at the corner waiting on an impossibly long light to turn though no cars were going in any direction. She was lost in thought and had no idea how she would manage, or what she was going to do.
