Japan. A country of rich history and diversity. A modern island with links to a beautiful and mystical past. But what if there was a place, a realm where Japan′s old and newest times lived together as one? What if Japan′s famous samurai could live in a world of beautiful skyscrapers? Where quiet islands of simple farmers and their families lived only a stones throw away from Dragons that much of Japan′s mythology and architecture adores. Where the creatures of Japan′s mythology are as real as the temples of old and the high tech buildings of the cities. That place does exist. That place is real. That place, in a dimension where Earth is known as ′Free World′ is one of the planets greatest and most respected nations. That place, is the Japanese Kingdom of the old and new Times.

In its current form JkotoanT was founded by Queen Kury and her King. Soon left mostly for her to govern over, she separated the Nation into separate and distinct prefectures, cities or towns of varying sizes that each contributed to the kingdom in different ways. Residing in the capital Tokyo, a more ancient version of the city that was highlighted by the Royal Temple, Queen Kury governed over the nation as a whole whilst trusted ′Lords′ presided over each prefecture such as Lord Darwin. Her time ruling was a period of peace and prosperity. A strong wise and skilled leader, Queen Kury would have been well placed to lead her people in defence of her nation however never was this required during her tenure. The only action ever called upon was in representing her Kingdom in one on one combat in fights of honour most notable, a fight against the Egyption God, Lord Anubis. When her term to rule came to an end it was certain she would take a position of authority within the kingdom. This was made clear when she was asked to take and accepted a role of General by the newest Queen, Queen Kaya Temp′elar.......

Queen Kaya ruled initially alongside her husband King Philip, a former aid in the Kingdom of Japan. One of Queen Kaya′s first acts as Queen was to establish a strong relationship with the Kingdom of Camelot acting herself as ambassador to the strong nation due to her close ties to its Queen. Soon a magical bridge, in truth a special anomaly was designed connecting the two great Nations known as the ′Kiera Bridge′ (named after Kiera Temp′elar who′s writer passed away). Queen Kaya was a kind and compassionate ruler and her reign allowed Japan to form close links also to the Kingdom Dragonia making Queen Kaya one of the most successful political figures in Free World′s history, however during her reign the world was plunged into war. The Viking War caused many casualties in Camelot and Japan′s army led by the Generals Kury and Kitana under the supervision of King Philip took losses also. With Queen Kaya taking a period of time away on a journey of growth and meditation on the events of the war, the unprecedented act if Crowning a second Queen was taken. Kaya and Philips Daughter, Lucinda was crowned Queen to rule alongside her father in her mothers stead. Queen Lucinda and King Philip have since ruled Japan representing it in individual battles of honour and in battles of war whilst continuing to build bridges with other Nations, as Queen Kaya showed them.

While King Philip often leads his people in battle the official Generals Kury and Kitana are the kingdoms lead warriors. Heading an army of soldiers that mix ancient forms of combat and fighting styles with high tech equipment and training the Japanese soldiers are lethal foes. With the introduction of the Free World Fleet, Japan took command of the ships: Kurys Wrath, Sanctuary and Immortality adding a mixture of scientific and medical facilities to a powerful combat arsenal.
